From the article:

"Last month, AdvancED, the company that oversees school accreditations, requested information from the school system as part of investigation into a complaint filed by the president of the North Carolina NAACP. The complaint alleged actions by the new school board are having a negative impact on the quality of education offered by Wake County Schools.

AdvancED is threatening to pull the accreditations of Wake County high schools if the school system does not cooperate with the investigation.

'Its a very serious issue and, of course, we're gravely concerned about it,' said Wake County School Board Member Keith Sutton.

AdvancED has requested a lot of background documentation from the school system and wants to send a Special Review Team to Wake County for a three-day visit. AdvancED administrators say without full cooperation in the investigation, Wake County high schools will lose their accreditation."
